NEW PUBLIC ART

The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign has chosen my public art design proposal for the new Wymer Hall / Art in Architecture Award!!!

My design centers around a suspended sculpture beneath the skylight in a captivating two-story, 32′ high space. Inspired by the graceful beauty of the ‘cherry blossom,’ Japan’s national flower, this artwork holds personal significance as a Japanese artist (myself) and beautifully ties into the University’s rich history and site context.
